  • HOW DO I APPLY IT?
    Get in the shower. After shampooing, squeeze hair to remove excess water. Start applying from the ends to the mid-shaft. Use a wide-tooth comb through hair. This will help apply some of the masque on the roots. After 5 minutes (or longer if you want) rinse with cool water.
  • CAN I WEAR THE MASQUE OVERNIGHT?
    Absolutely! First, make sure hair does not have any product on it. Use a spray bottle to make your hair slightly damp. Apply from ends to mid-shaft. Use a wide-tooth comb to distribute through hair. Let dry for about 5 minutes. Place hair in a bun, use a sleeping bonnet if you like. Rinse in the morning. Shampoo scalp. Conditioner is optional.

I wash my hair twice a week. How often should I use this mask? Also, should I use a regular conditioner after I use the mask?
Our Fine to Medium Hair Treatment Masques can be used weekly or every other week. Here is how to apply: 1. After applying shampoo, remove any excess water from hair. 2. Apply a quarter-size amount starting from the ends working to the roots. Comb product through with fingers or a wide tooth comb. 3. Relax for 5 minutes, then rinse the Treatment Masque out with cool water. 4. As our Treatment Masques are already rich in hydration, you can skip out on conditioner or apply your conditioner of choice after rinsing out your Treatment Masque for additional detangling.
I still have dry ends after treatment with QUAI Fine to Medium Hair Treatment Masque. Can I apply OUAI to just the ends after I blow dry my hair? I am a senior with Sjogren's Autoammune Syndrome lacking moisture to hair, skin, eyes, nose and throat. I have processed hair, blonde and strawberry blonde. I use a Panasonic dryer on cool low. Need help to eliminate the friz. Thank you.
Hi Sandy! I'm glad to hear that you are using your drying on cool low. We have a few tips that may help: 1. Use Treatment Masque on your hair for a longer period of time, and when washing---don't use very hot water. You can even do a longer treatment outside of the shower. 2. Leave-In Conditioner would be a good addition to your routine. Apply post wash, and brush your hair after spritzing it on your strands. It also has a benefit of offering heat protection when using your blow dryer. 3. Lastly, for a quick fix to help frizz and dry ends, try Hair Oil as the last step of your routine. Will it mess with my color treated hair?
All of our products, including shampoo and conditioner are sulfate free (and paraben and phthalate-free), so they’re safe to use on colored treated hair. Our shampoo and conditioner also have reparative keratin, which will help prevent breakage and frizz.
Could I leave this product on as an all day hair mask for a deep condition? Or is it best to stick between the 5-10 minute window?
Great question! You can use it all-day (or all-night). We have a few tips for you: First, make sure your hair doesn't have any product on it. If your hair is dry, use a spray bottle to dampen it. Apply mid-shaft to ends, and use a wide-tooth comb to distribute. Wrap your hair in a bun or up-do, and you can use a shower cap or bonnet over your hair as you go about your day. Once you rinse it out, shampoo (conditoner is optional)
