"I love this shampoo. I’ve tried many (too many) shampoos for “fine” hair. This is the only one that actually makes my hair feel thicker. I’m a customer for life! Also, I love the scent. The next day after washing I can still smell the Mercer St scent. I wish Mercer St was in more of your products. I hesitate to use, the conditioner, and the styling products because their smell will over write the Mercer St. But the shampoo for fine hair is truly wonderful!"

"Pleeeaaseee bring back Mercer Street perfume. I need to sentmax this fragrance lol! Oh the shampoo? It and the conditioner are good mid range products. They’re not bad but it doesn’t blow my socks off. I find myself reaching for them tho, and I’ve finished their travel sized products (which is my rule if I am to purchase full size). I have fine wavy hair and it cleanses my hair really well and the conditioner doesn’t weigh it down. Are there drugstore shampoos that do the same? Sure. My shower experience is also important to me though, and this scent is heavenly. After 12hrs post shower and even sleeping on it, I can still smell the scent, and in this case, I love that. My hair feels soft and airy, thank you Ouai :)"

- Hi Carol! Our Fine Hair Shampoo has the Mercer Street scent which is a sheer and airy floral/musky fragrance with notes of Italian Lemon, Turkish Rose, Jasmine Sambac, Iris, Lilly, and White Musk.
- Is it safe to use for color treated hair?
- Hi Lani! Hope you're well! All our shampoos and conditioners are sulfate free, so they’re safe to use on color treated hair. The PH of our Shampoos range from 5 to 6 and Conditioners range from 4 to 5. These ranges are at the optimal level for hair and scalp health. Hope this helps!
- Is the packaging recyclable?
- Hi Kay! You can recycle part of your refill pouch. The caps are recyclable, but the pouch had to be made with a type of light plastic that is still OUAI more sustainable than a liter bottle. This part is not recyclable. The plastic these use are 60% less plastic than rigid plastic bottles and require 50% less energy to produce. These pouches also generate less CO3 emissions during production and shipping. They also weigh less than a typical plastic bottle, which helps reduce the carbon footprint in regards to transport and manufacturing.
