The OUAI Team's Holiday Gift Wish List

This year, we'd like to think we're all on the nice list. So we asked the OUAI team what gifts they're eyeing up this season. If you're in need of a little holiday shopping inspo or just feel like digital window shopping, read on.

Emily, Fulfillment Coordinator $400

For Christmas, I really want and need the Dyson Pure Cool Air Purifier ($400). I want this gift because the air quality has been bad in California with the fires and pollution. Also, air purifiers are known to kill viruses and bacteria in the air which is essential due to COVID-19. This also helps with dust and pollen, which makes my allergies spike. I am not sure why I didn't buy myself one of these a long time ago. I plan to use this in my home and when I'm sleeping, use it in my bedroom.

 

Gloria, VP of Product Development $680

Not that I have shoes and sweaters in my oven – I have more – but I would love the uber professional strength Countertop Oven Elite by Wolf ($680)! What better way to channel my inner @inagarten than with a chocolate souffle during my virtual coffee, lamb lollipops for HH and fish en papillote for dinner any day of the week with so little cleanup? MAGIC!

Bill, VP of Operations

The gift my wife and I are hoping for (and searching for) is a dog. We have been actively searching as many rescue sites as possible for our favorites (Australian Shepherds or Golden Retrievers). So far no luck after many months.
 
Up until our dog passed away last summer we have always had dogs in our household. Dogs demonstrate daily so many things we humans should aspire to be, including forgiveness and unbridled zest for life. Our search continues!

My only wish list item for this holiday season is the Dinner for 4 Bundle from Our Place ($250). I mean, how AESTHETIC, are these items? I am most happy in the kitchen and always looking for better pots/pans to stock on my shelves. Plus, a kitchen photoshoot wouldn’t hurt with how beautiful these products are! The Always Pan is multi-use, which is perfect for all the cooking my boyfriend and I do. I also plan on gifting my sister with this bundle since she just bought her very first house.

Juliet, Brand Marketing Intern $224

This holiday season, I want the....“Atlanta” Linen Dress in Azure Blue by The Sleeper ($224). I need this dress/sleeper because it will make all my Peter Pan dreams come true. The sleeves are what dreams are made of. Just call me Wendy if I ever get my hands on this beauty.

I’ve missed hanging out at my favorite café with friends, so this Christmas I hope a jar of Amara Kitchen’s Chocolate Chip Cookies ($26.50) is waiting under the tree. Their chocolate chip cookies (and thumbprint cookies!) are incredibly both gluten-free AND vegan and will absolutely blow your mind! The standout cookies come inside a reusable Weck jar, which makes supporting this Highland Park woman-owned small business easy and sustainable.

This year, I’m buying myself this W&P Design Matcha Whisk ($25). I make myself a matcha latte almost every morning using a bamboo whisk and a milk frother. This battery-powered whisk combines both functions, so I’ll be able to whisk my loose matcha powder as well as make it creamy at the same time. Plus, I’m a sauce lover so I'll be using this to elevate my salad dressings and other yummy concoctions.

 

Diana, Director of Sales and Education $1,521

Writing my list to Santa was my favorite part of Christmas. My list would be filled with the most extreme gifts. I knew I wouldn’t get them (I did get that Vanilla Ice cassette), but I loved day dreaming about it and creating stories about it. So if I still wrote Santa a list today, the Holly Crystal-Embellished Suede Knee Boots by Paris Texas ($1,521) would be on it. I would wear these to Ralph’s, Runyon, and on the step machine at Bunda. These boots were made for walking and that’s just what I’ll do.

Leah, Social Media Coordinator $100

All thanks to Antoni from Queer Eye...He raved about these All-Clad Stainless Steel 3-Piece Mixing Bowl Set ($100) in a Youtube video and they’ve been in my cart ever since. I couldn’t hit “buy” because they are a bit pricey for mixing bowls…but when it’s a gift it’s fine, right? With all the cooking I’ve been doing in quarantine, these will get a lot of use!
