OUAI Clean Shampoo: The Benefits of Detoxing your Hair
Back in the day, clarifying shampoos used sulfates to harshly strip the hair. Sure, oil and product buildup would be removed, but so were all traces of moisture. When we set out to create our own detoxifier, we wanted the super clean hair without any of the brittle strands caused by harsh detergents. What we came up with was a creamy, sulfate-free cleanser that strips away dirt and residue, while infusing the hair with smart keratin, oat protein and natural reparative ingredients . The result is exceptionally shiny, bouncy hair and brighter color after one wash. We think everyone should have a bottle in their arsenal.
Anyone who has been victimized by the old formulas may be reluctant to add a clarifier to their routine, but we promise it’s worth giving it a shot. Buildup from hard water, styling products and chlorine attaches to the hair overtime, preventing it from having that signature bounce and dulling pricey dye jobs. Using a clarifying shampoo once a week (every other week if you’re not a frequent washer) will keep hair looking salon fresh.
The sulfate-free formula means it won’t fade your color or leave bleached hair brittle. You can follow with Clean Conditioner for a light, repairing moisturizer or use something heavier for additional hydration.
