How-to: Hailey Baldwin's Wet Look Lob
The wet look took over runways last Spring, with models at Balmain and Altuzarra rocking slicked back strands. Now the style is sweeping red carpets, offering an undone counter point to traditional evening wear. Hailey Baldwin gave us major hair envy when she debuted a highly wearable iteration of the look on her bronde lob at this year's Golden Globes. Below, our SHE-E-O Jen Atkin details how you can achieve Hailey's look at home. Take it for a spin on your next night out, or when you want to add some edge to to a formal look.
Begin the the look by creating a side part and spraying Ouai Wave Spray from roots to ends.
Next, use a blow dryer, Jen uses a Dyson, with a diffuser to bring out a natural wave. Once the hair is 90% dry, remove the diffuser and use your hands to scrunch the hair until it's completely dry.
Next use a 1" curling iron on small, random sections for added texture.
For added fullness, clip Beauty Works extensions to each side of the head for added fullness.
Add a quarter sized amount of gel (Jen used Kerastase Forme Fatale Gel) to hands, working it all over palms. Rake the gel through the hair for a wet finish. For longer or thicker hair, add more gel until the desired finish is achieved.
Finish with a heavy duty hairspray for hold.
