Hi! I'm Erin and I'm a Lifestyle Blogger from Los Angeles (@erinnobrienn). I started blogging last year and love sharing everything from beauty favorites, home decor, recipes, and life with my husband and our wild pup Izzy.

My hair is long, and although it may look tame in the final photos, it can be VERY hard to manage. I have wavy but frizzy and unruly hair. I've come up with a routine that works for me time-wise (only takes about 20 minutes from start to finish) and that also creates a long lasting style. I've been trying to prolong my styling in an effort to wash my hair less, especially during quarantine! This is an easy and effortless hairstyle that is polished yet natural. Here's how I get my everyday beach waves!

First, I wash my hair with OUAI Medium Shampoo and Conditioner. I've been loving these and they smell AMAZING. I also love incorporating the OUAI Detox Shampoo into my routine about once a week.

Then, as soon as I get out of the shower I spray the OUAI Leave In Conditioner on wet/damp hair and comb it through. I love the moisture this provides as well as helping with any tangles. After that, I rough dry it with a towel.

Once it's a bit less damp, I apply the OUAI Wave Spray from root to tip. This product has really helped to define my natural waves and provides volume without the frizz. I like to work this through and then scrunch upwards with my hands.

After this, I like to use a blow dryer prior to styling. I don't keep the heat on my hair for very long and utilize the cool setting. If I have some extra time on my hands I will let it air dry.

Once dry, I use a 1 1/4-inch curling iron but never use the clamp. I take approximately 1-inch sections of hair and wrap them around the barrel, using it more like a wand rather than a traditional curling iron. I hold this for just a few seconds and pull straight down. This is a trick my hairstylist @jesscanzohair taught me and it truly gives the best lived-in beachy waves as opposed to rounded-out bouncy curls.

Then I like to separate the waves with my fingers to create some additional dimension.

Lastly, I use the OUAI Hair Oil to finish off the curls, focusing on the ends of my hair. This gives it the most healthy sheen without ever looking oily.
