New York Fashion Week officially kicked off this week, filling our feeds with a catwalk’s worth of hair inspo, much of which we can actually pull off IRL. From super-sleek multi-colored ponytails to simple half-up twists that work on day-two hair, the looks are as chic as they are easy to recreate at home. Keep scrolling for tips on achieving the fashion week styles you’ll see popping up everywhere from now until next fall.

Boho Braids at Tadashi Shoji

Tadashi Shoji brought the boho vibes to classic textured bends. For a subtle embellishment, lead stylist Kevin Ryan wove strands of sparkly fabric into accent braids that framed models’ faces.

Get the look:

  1. Apply Wave Spray on damp hair for never-crunchy beach texture
  2. Air dry or blow dry until fully dry
  3. Use a 1-inch flat iron to create subtle waves, leaving the ends out for a laidback effect
  4. Rough up the waves with Dry Texture Foam massaged throughout for added grit
  5. Complete the braid by adding Finishing Crème to ends

Sleek, Blunt Ponytails at Christian Siriano

Sleek waist-grazing ponytails at Christian Siriano got Harley Quinn-inspired blue and pink pops of color. In line with some of our current favorite hair trends, the multi-colored ponytails were topped off with blunt ends and a super-smooth finish all over for a dark glamour vibe.

Get the look:

  1. Prep damp hair with Leave In Conditioner then blow dry or air dry hair
  2. Straighten hair in small 1-inch sections
  3. Before securing the hair into a pony at the mid-back of your head, rub a dime-size amount of Matte Pomade between your palms (this stops flyaways in their tracks before you secure your ponytail)
  4. Secure the ponytail and finish with high-wattage shine using Hair & Body Shine Mist on mid-lengths to ends

Half-Up Twists at Tory Burch

Fashion week’s take on the half-up hairstyle: simple pinned back twists. A little 70’s and a little Victorian-esque, this effortless style takes five minutes or less and can be done on day-two hair.

 Get the look:

  1. Shake your can of Super Dry Shampoo then spray it on dry hair 10-12 inches from your roots
  2. Rub into the scalp and it’ll quickly disappear
  3. Create a straight center part
  4. Section off two 1-inch sections on both sides of your face
  5. Start twisting each section and secure in the back with a snagless elastic
  6. Flip over the secured end and tuck it in to hide the elastic or use your bobby pin/barrette of choice to hide it
  7. Smooth over flyaways with a dime-size amount of Hair Oil

Natural Textures at Cinqasept

Natural texture took the spotlight at Cinqasept, where models wore the best versions of their curls and waves, making this the perf look for all lengths and textures to recreate off the runway.

 Get the look:

  1. On damp hair, apply Curl Jelly (if you have curly hair) or Air Dry Foam (if you have wavy hair) to define your natural texture
  2. Wait for hair to air dry
  3. Touch up with a spritz of Texturizing Hair Spray on wavy hair or 1-2 pumps of Rose Hair & Body Oil on curly hair

Undone Topknots at Badgley Mishcka

Ethereal glamour, 70's vibes, and scenes from Downton Abbey altogether formed the fabulousness at Badgley Mischka. The shimmering evening wear was paired with undone topknots that weren't afraid to show flyaways, making this updo one of the least intimidating of the NYFW bunch.

Get the look:

  1. Dispense a golf ball-size of Dry Shampoo Foam to your palms then massage through roots and anywhere that feels greasy
  2. Massage until the white foam disappears (it'll never leave residue)
  3. Tie hair up into a relaxed topknot, leaving the ends out
  4. Swipe our Anti-Frizz Hair Sheet over the length of your crown to smooth flyaways in a flash

Go-Big-or-Go-Home Blowouts at Sergio Hudson

At Sergio Hudson, sultry power suits and pencil skirts in deep tones of midnight green and chocolates were complemented by voluminous blowouts—major inspo for your next night out.

Get the look:

  1. Start by spraying towel-dried hair at the roots with Volume Spray, our weightless pre-blowout mist
  2. Rough dry hair until fully dry then apply Heat Protection Spray to protect against heat damage and lock in the blowout until your next wash
  3. Blow out the hair with a round brush or pop in some hot rollers and wait 10 minutes to set
  4. Finish the bouncy blowout with a blast of Volumizing Hair Spray
