While reminiscing about Michelle Pfeiffer's big, moody curls from the 1992 film Batman Returns, we had an idea: instead of approaching Halloween costume-first, why not let your locks make the call? If a Catwoman mask isn't in the cards for you this year, consider Pfeiffer's messy-sexy, curly bob. Paired with a bold red lip, the look is sure to make heads turn, be it on Halloween night or any occasion. Keep reading as we break down how to achieve the look at home, with a guide for both thin/oily hair types and curly/wavy hair types.

For thin or oily hair types:

  1. Wash with OUAI Volume Shampoo and Conditioner
  2. On damp hair, spray OUAI Wave Spray from mid-lengths to ends
  3. Dry hair fully then apply OUAI Memory Mist Heat Protectant to each section of hair before curling
  4. Use Hot Tools 1/2-inch 24K Gold Marcel Iron to curl 1-inch sections until the whole head is curled
  5. Spray OUAI Volumizing Hair Spray at roots and between curls

For curly or wavy hair types:

  1. Wash with OUAI Curl Shampoo and Conditioner
  2. Apply OUAI Curl Jelly or OUAI Air Dry Foam on damp hair
  3. Go back in and define any lackluster curls with the Hot Tools 1/2-inch 24K Gold Marcel Iron
  4. Spray OUAI Texturizing Hair Spray all over
  5. Eliminate frizz with 1-2 drops of OUAI Rose Hair & Body Oil throughout
